In 1997, a few friends fascinated by "black music" started playing rehearsals in the Orle chalet in the mountains. After the first concert at the Jizera Festival, they decided to start a band called Promyczki at first, then Promilki, and finally The Crackers Band.
In 1999, the band focused mainly on jazz-funk and similar music. In addition to very active concerts in their studio, they created music for numerous television productions.
The Crackers initiated at first in Wrocław's jazz club RURA, and then in other cities, events gaining great popularity under the name FUNKOTEKA - a combination of live music with music from turntables presented by the best DJs and break dancers.

In 2005, the band shortened its name to The Crackers and signed a contract with EMI Music Poland. A year later they released their first album Funky State of Mind. The album received excellent reviews and recognition.
In 2006, the band was joined by the fantastic vocalist Asia Kwaśnik, cooperating with another project of the musicians - Funkofelki. After this change, the band also began experimenting with soul and R&B music.
Asia Kwaśnik is also known to a wide audience by participating in television programs, in which she always received enthusiastic opinions from the jurors.
In May 2015, the band's album titled 4U was released is diverse and oscillates around many genres such as R'n'B, soul, chill out, funk and smooth jazz. Sophisticated and unique music performed by mature and experienced musicians.
The Crackers are constantly giving concerts in Poland and abroad which are very popular.
During their existence, have played hundreds of concerts at home and abroad; both in clubs, jazz clubs, city day celebrations, on smaller and large prestigious stages of jazz festivals, such as:
Koblenz Jazz Festival (Germany), Gladbeck Jazzfest (Germany), Nacht Der Sinne (Germany), Zittau Tage (Germany), Cieszyn Jazz Festival ( PL), Jazz nad Odrą Jazz Festival (Wroclaw - PL), Głogów Jazz Festival ( PL),Kraliki Festival (Czech Republic), Vertigo Jazz Festival or in Lviv as a representative of the city of Wroclaw in front of an audience of fifty thousand people as part of the Orange Revolution,
